Glass Divided Lites
A divided lite gives the appearance of individual glass panes separated by muntins. True divided lites (TDL) use separate pieces of glass in each section, while simulated divided lites (SDL)mimic the look with a single pane and surface-applied grids. SDL offers similar style with better energy performance.
True Divided Lites(TDL): the glass on the window isn't a single piece, but multiple pieces separated by mullions that go through the glass.
Simulated Divided Lites (SDL): the glass is a large, single piece with mullions placed on top of the glass, but they don’t cut through it.
