It is a rare moment in life when you get a wonderful product you’ve dreamed of for a long time and feel lucky to have gotten it! I am a local doctor, love to travel and always try to bring a memory/souvenir from my trip. But now i feel that my new door from Doors for builders.com is the most beautiful object I’ve got and i didn’t have to travel for it!

I found it on their website in the clearance section for the fraction of original price! Angel, my salesperson, sent me the pictures and specifications. I fell in love. It’s a very thick( 23/4 in) mahogany single glass panel double wood door with special technology panel at the bottom that resists warping. It is made in Europe and imported preassembled with a frame. I had several in depth conversations with the manager Daniel Biodrowicz, who has exhaustive knowledge of his product. Daniel described in detail the way the door was made and functions. When it turned out that my opening was 10 inches wider than the door frame itself Daniel ordered and manufactured 3 large pieces of mahogany trim for the exterior. He recommended beautiful locks from Emtek Wilshire line and helped me decide whether to get a single lock or a pair (I settled on the latter). The door was predrilled at their shop for only additional $100. It only took 2 weeks for everything to be manufactured, prepared, stained, polished, wrapped and delivered to my doorstep. The truck driver helped me carry the pieces into the garage.

When my carpenter waivered on the lock installation (thick door needed an extension kit) Daniel has sent a master installer Mariusz the same day. He installed the locks on site in a matter of 1.5 hours for free! Gave me a new smoother lock cylinder, Cleaned and vacuumed the place, accepted a diet coke and left with a big smile.

What can i say? This was the best home improvement experience of my life. Great and rare product bought at a great price, delivered and installed quickly and professionally. Daniel gave me unparalleled product support and advice.

We used Doors for Builders for our ocean front property in St Augustine , Florida. The design requirements went well beyond typical door manufacturing . The interior door spec called for 8′ solid core, slab units with a mylar type facing while the door jam needed a recessed profile to match the rest of the interior which has no molding or trim. The front entrance door had to both make an arrival experience statement and be hurricane certified to meet building codes.I would be very hesitant to work with anyone else for a project of this scope and complexity. The attention to detail was borderline obsession which was invaluable.The European workmanship was world class. The only word to the wise is plan well ahead if you want a engineered product of this quality and caliber
